Face mechanical seals, also known as lifelong seals, floating seals, two-cone seals, heavy duty seals, and torque seals, are designed and engineered with dynamic sealing technology to provide sealing solutions for a variety of applications that require a lot of requirements such as construction machinery, agricultural equipment, mining and driving mechanisms for drilling Tunnels, track chains, cement-cement mixers and many other construction vehicles lack the durability required for conventional seals.
Design Type:
There are two types of mechanical face seals.
FO Type
The most common design for mechanical face seals is the FO design, also known as O'Ring design, where O'Ring acts as a secondary sealing element. FO mechanical face seals consist of two identical metal sealing rings to close each other on the wrapped seal faces.
FT Type
The FT type mechanical sealing face consists of two square anti-sealing rings with the same engineering circumference, and the sealing rings are combined with trapezoidal or flexible elastomers instead of "O'Ring elastomers". The two metal seal rings are sealed against each other on the surface of the wrap seal.
Typical Applications
Mechanical face seals are mainly used to withstand seals in construction machinery, axle seals in tractors, wheel cylinder seals in excavators, shaft seals in crop harvesters, screw conveyor seals for abrasive materials, and operate equipment in extremely harsh environments. Harsh and wear and tear conditions may occur.
