Step-by-step installation process Floating Seal:

1.    Align the correct pair of cones, installation tool, thread-on-fix spray, mallet and lint-free cloth before starting the actual cabinet seal installation.

2.    Ensure that you are using the appropriate equipment part number and design provided by the SAP part for the seal.

Note: - There are different tools for each painting. Check seal faces, O-rings and housing are clean, free from mechanical damage.

1.    Attach the seal-o-fix to the seal surface and clean the seal using a lint free wipe. Thoroughly clean the surface of the seal and ensure that there is no microscopic dust. O-rings sprayed around the perimeter, providing enough lubricant to fit the seal into the housing cavity.

2.    Insert the O-ring into the seal ram and ensure that it is properly fastened to the sleeve. Ensure that the O-ring is not twisted or twisted.

3.    Grasp the O-ring in the seal ramp and insert the tool lip between the O-ring gap and the seal surface inside the tool's round guide groove.

4.    Strongly seal the clamp formed by bringing the edges of the clamp close to each other and tightening the check nut provided on the tool.

5.    It will guide you through the installation tool.

Installation Guidelines of Metal Face Seal

 

Mechanical Face seals are fitted in a Groove of retaining housing, to form the sealing at the adjoining faces. Metal faces are precision Lapped. The ramp angle of Seal and Housings are slightly different and form a wedge for the rubber ring to slide into and form a compressed profile giving load on the seals and making it intact. The installation guidelines are aimed to protect the precision lapped and Functional metal sealing faces. The more precautions taken, the more Likely the seals will last in the field.

Steps by Step Seal Installation Guidelines

1. Arrange Right Duo cone Seal, Installation Tool, Seal-O-Fix Spray, Mallet, Lint

Free Cloth, etc. as shown below before starting actual seal installation in the

housing cavity.

2. Check you are using appropriate tool part number, and design provided by SAP Parts™ for the Metal Face Seals. Note: – Each seal has a different Tool. Check  Seal face, O-Ring & housings are clean and free from any mechanical damage, dent, etc.

3. Apply Seal-O-Fix on Seal face and clean the Seal using Lint-Free Wipe. Ensure the seal face be thoroughly cleaned and no fine particles of dust should  remain on it...Do never use Ethanol, Oil or Grease for lubricating the O-Ring.

4. Put the O-Ring on the Seal Ramp and check it is properly placed on the metal ring ramp. Check there is no skewing or twisting of O-Ring, and Hold the O-Ring on the Seal Ramp and engage the Lip of the tool

between the gap of O-Ring and seal face inside the circular guideway groove of the Tool.

5. Bring the edges of the tool bracket close to each other and hold the seal firmly in the clamp formed. This makes the Seal Guided in the Install Tool.

This type of Seal uses two metal rings that are loaded axially such that they ride against each other with a film of lubricant between them, creating a dynamic face-seal interface.
