Metal seal design:

Housing Preparation:

Before installing the seal, the housing parts touching the rubber toric rings (3 and 4 a) must be free of foreign matter, etc. It should be done using lint-free wipes and non-petroleum based solvents, especially SAP parts Seal-O-Fix sprays. Wipe clean. Remove debris from the rubber toric (2), lip (8) of both sealing rings. Place the rubber toric on the metal seal ring against the bottom of the seal ring ramp and the retaining lips.

Floating seals can be installed incorrectly, so the O-rings stay straight on the rim and do not squeeze or twist.
