Mechanical Face Seal is a special type of mechanical seal. It is also known for other specifications such as metal face seals, floating seals, duo con seals, toric seals, and heavy-duty seals.
SAP Parts is a unique international sealing force that provides specialized designs and developments in the market-leading portfolio of products and materials: one-stop stores offering the best products in elastomers, and composites technologies Agriculture, industry and automotive industry. SAP Parts' engineers use state-of-the-art design tools to assist customers through design, prototyping, production, testing, and installation. Our seals meet all customer requirements by providing a large number of standard parts through integrated logistics support, or by supplying a single part manufactured by the customer.
The most common form is the DO type, which uses an O-ring as the second sealing element. On the other hand, the DF type has an elastomer whose cross-section is diamond-like as a second sealing element instead of the O-ring
Design features:
The seal consists of two metal seal rings. They are installed in separate housings facing each other. The elastomeric element centers the seal of the seal. There are two taper cones in housing and OD of the seal. The taper increases with the depth of the bore due to different grades of cones. The housing geometry can usually be machined on an NC machine tool.
